Photo Gallery
For most of her life Luci has felt compelled to pay attention to the landscapes of life (the word "attention" is derived from the Latin ad-tendere—"to stretch towards"). The word pictures found in her poems and essays is matched by the colors and textures and contrasts found in her nature and scenic photography. She is convinced that the framing of a vision through the camera's view-finder has developed her eye for composition (many of her book covers display her own photography) and for understanding spatial relationships (the way a poem appears on the page is also crucial to her). Her poems and photos are companions, each contributing imaginatively to the other. The discovery of form and detail is the key to both. They celebrate Creation in all its diversity.
